Telegram Mini App development

A Telegram Mini App is a web app that opens right inside Telegram from a bot button or a link, with nothing to install from an app store. Our Telegram Mini App development is end to end: interface, bot, server, payments, admin panel and analytics. Our Mini App MatrixAI has more than 350,000 users a month.

What is a Telegram Mini App

A Mini App is a website built into Telegram: the interface uses ordinary web technologies but opens inside the messenger — from a button in a bot chat, the bot’s menu or a direct link. Users don’t need to download anything or sign up: they log in with their Telegram account (Telegram documentation).

For a business, it’s a short path to customers who are already on Telegram: a catalogue, bookings, orders, a loyalty programme or a subscription service — without publishing in the App Store and Google Play. A bot always sits alongside, sending notifications and bringing people back to the app. That’s why a Mini App is often the first step before a mobile app.

A Mini App lives by Telegram’s rules — from payment methods to whether the messenger is available in a given country. So we plan payments, a fallback way in for users and data storage when we design the flows, not after launch.

When you need it

  • Your customers are already on Telegram — in your channel or chat — and you want them to order and book without leaving the messenger.
  • You need to test a subscription product idea quickly and cheaply before investing in a mobile app.
  • Your button-based bot has hit its limits: a catalogue, cart, schedule or user account needs a proper interface.
  • You want to sell access to an AI service or content by subscription for Telegram Stars.
  • You need a referral programme or an invite mechanic that users spread themselves inside Telegram.

What’s included

  • Flows and a prototype: what a person does in the app, and what the bot sends them — reminders, statuses, finished results.
  • An interface in Telegram’s style: light and dark themes, the language from the user’s settings, built for phones.
  • A bot with a menu, notifications and broadcasts; login with a Telegram account and no passwords, with server-side validation of user data.
  • Payments: Telegram Stars for digital goods and subscriptions, payment providers for physical goods and services.
  • A server and database, with background queues for long tasks such as AI generations, so load peaks don’t bring the app down.
  • An admin panel: users, products and prices, plans, promo codes, broadcasts.
  • Analytics that track the source from the launch link: campaigns, funnel, retention and revenue.

Pricing

  • Quick launch$1,000–2,000

A catalogue or bookings: a storefront for products or services, an enquiry form or a time slot picker, notifications through the bot.

  • Business growth$2,500–6,000

Payments, user accounts and integrations: orders or subscriptions with payment, history, rewards, a link to your CRM or accounting system.

  • Custom projectfrom $8,000

Several roles and complex processes: AI features, several payment systems, a referral programme, custom analytics. Usually up to $20,000, sometimes more.

The price depends on the flows, the integrations and the expected load. Servers, paid APIs (such as AI models) and payment provider fees are separate, and we name them before we start. We give an exact quote after a brief.

How we work

  1. 01. Brief and flows

We work out where users come from, what they do in the app and how they pay, and fix the scope of the first version.

  2. 02. Prototype and design

We put the screens together in Telegram’s style and test the user’s path from the bot button to payment.

  3. 03. App and bot

We build the interface, server, bot and admin panel, connect payments and test the app in Telegram on iOS, Android and desktop.

  4. 04. Launch and analytics

We set up launch links tagged by campaign, go live, review the first data and hand over access.

Frequently asked questions

What is a Telegram Mini App in simple terms?

It’s an app that opens inside Telegram instead of being downloaded from a store. Technically, it’s a web app linked to a bot: users log in with their Telegram account, and notifications come from the bot.

How do you create a Telegram Mini App?

You need a bot registered through @BotFather, a web app on your own server and a link between them — a menu button, a button in the chat or a direct link. You can build a simple storefront yourself, but payments, user accounts and load need a server, a database and server-side validation of user data.

Can I build a Mini App with a no-code builder?

Yes, if you need a simple catalogue or bookings and the builder’s templates suit you. Development is needed when you have your own logic, integrations with a CRM or accounting system, AI features or serious load — and when owning the code and data matters.

How much does Telegram Mini App development cost?

A catalogue or bookings costs $1,000–2,000; with payments, user accounts and integrations — $2,500–6,000; a project with several roles and complex processes — from $8,000. We give an exact quote after a brief.

How do payments work in a Mini App?

Under Telegram’s rules, digital goods and services — subscriptions, generations, access to content — are sold only for Telegram Stars. For physical goods and services you can connect other payment providers. In FoodTrack and Sparton, subscriptions are paid in Stars.

What are some examples of Telegram Mini Apps?

From our own work: MatrixAI — more than 40 AI models for images, video and music, with 350,000 users a month; FoodTrack — calorie counting from food photos with AI reports; Sparton — a strength training log with an AI coach. For businesses, typical uses are catalogues, bookings, orders and loyalty programmes.

Will a Mini App work for users in every country?

That’s a platform risk: access to Telegram is restricted in some countries — in Russia, for example, the regulator has been limiting Telegram since February 2026 and promises further restrictions. If much of your audience is in such a country, we build in a fallback: a web version of the same app or a bot in MAX, a Russian messenger that also supports mini apps.
