A web app where AI asks about family stories and gathers them into one shared family space

Task
Build a product where families keep their relatives’ stories: an AI companion asks questions by voice or in chat, and the platform turns the answers into a shared family knowledge base with a feed, a family tree and photos. The core requirement is trust: stories stay private until the person decides to share them.
Solution
- Vesta, the AI interviewer: voice and text conversations with speech recognition, model replies and voice synthesis.
- Knowledge extraction from conversations into the family knowledge base. Every quote is checked in code to match what was actually said, word for word.
- Answers about the family from the knowledge base (vector search in PostgreSQL), drawn only from what the reader is allowed to see.
- The family space: an activity feed, a family tree, photos with their stories and restoration, questions to relatives and invitations.
- Private by default: encryption, per-memory access rights, and no personal data in logs or analytics.
- Sign-in by email link, Google and Apple; emails, plans and family books in development.
- A marketing site with scroll-driven scenes, prerendered pages and SEO; web and mobile versions treated as equals.
